It doesn’t matter where you start; it’s how you finish

It doesn’t matter where you start; it’s how you finish

In high school, my GPA and ACT scores weren’t the highest, and I was told that my opportunity to attend college because of my academic challenges would be limited. Despite what I was told, I never gave up. The ability to preserve despite the odds against you is a learned behavior, and I’ve learned the following.

  1. Speak life into your situation and circumstances, regardless of how things look.
  2. The tests we experience in life are sent forth to shape and mold our character and not destroy us.
  3. Find your place and role in life that works for you, oppose to attempting to emulate everyone else’s life.
  4. Stay prayerful and embrace the resources, guidance, and push partners that are sent your way.
  5. You can’t be both pitiful and powerful in the same body, and you must choose one.
  6. If you can visualize what most see as the unimaginable, you can surely achieve it.
  7. All things are possible to those who believe.
  8. Regardless of the challenges life may throw at you, Keep Winning!!!
It is because of my willingness to remain prayerful and speak life constantly to my mountains and barriers that I am now able to add a Ph.D. Graduate and Commencement Speaker at my own graduation to my list of accomplishments. Never let anyone define your aptitude or ability to do the unimaginable. You are the navigator and narrator to your life’s journey, and if you don’t quit, you certainly will win. Keep Winning in all that you do, and if I can achieve my heart desires, certainly so can you!!!!
